We recommend Dr. Pickels for tattoo aftercare.
Saniderm is a shower-safe second skin that’s used for 24-48 hours. (unless irritated).
If your tattoo is wrapped in plastic, remove it after 3-4hrs in the shower & jump to step #4.
- Have a warm shower and allow water to run over the area.
- Gently peel a corner until it lifts, & allow plenty of water under.
- Slowly and gently peel the Saniderm off the skin while rinsing.
- Gently wash the tattoo with warm soapy water.
- Pat dry with a clean towel & allow the to dry for 12-24 hours.
- Apply minimal aftercare cream 2-3 times a day for 2-3 weeks.
- It can take up to a month to stop being dry, dull or shiny.
- Extra aftercare cream can be used as a moisturiser.
- Avoid soaking your tattoo in water for two weeks.
- Do not pick or scratch your tattoo while healing.
- No sun on your new tattoo for one month.
