Information

Upper lips can be done centred (philtrum/medusa) or to the side (monroe) and are generally trickier to line up, but heal just as fast as lower lips. Monroe piercings can even be done in pairs for a unique look. They always require downsizing during the healing period, as the initial jewellery needs extra length to allow for swelling.

Care must be taken to avoid playing with the piercing during the healing period to prevent irritation and excessive scarring.

It is essential to note that any oral piercing can cause damage to teeth and gums. Your practitioner will discuss ideal placement, jewellery options and aftercare to minimise this risk.
